Classes for the month of July

Friday, July 3 - No Stampin Cafe' tonight. Store will be close at 6pm.

Saturday, July 4 - STORE WILL BE CLOSED. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY. HAVE A SAFE 4TH OF JULY. Store will be open on Sunday July 5th from 12 to 5.

Thursday, July 9 - The Magents Ladies - from 1-4 (Beverly Anderson) and 6-9 Helene Metivier. Each class is $35.
Beverly Anderson will be doing a 4-card class using Class Appeals, you know those fun, pretty stickers. She will be using Alcohol Inks (Ranger) to color them and different Color Box Cat's Eyes. If you want to know some amazing ways to make your cards pop using the Class Appeals this class is for you. She has three (3) sign-ups already and is doing a maximum of 12 so call soon to get in the class. Samples should be in the shop next Wednesday.
Helene will be doing a 4-5 card class using chipboard and some of the new Magenta stamps that are being released this month. She also will be using Color Box Cat's Eyes and Alcohol Inks. These classes are always fun and once again, she is doing a maximum of 12 and she has 6 already signed up for her class--so call soon. We always have such a good time when they come.
Supply list for the classes are as follows: Bring with you Colorbox Cat's Eye Pigments, Alcohol Inks, Alcohol Ink Applicator, Adhesives of your choice (double sided tape), scissors, Permanent Black Ink, Color Pencils (Prisma type), straight edge, scissors, x-acto knife, USArtquest Pallette in Stargazer and Duo Interference, Watercolor brush, Stickles (Glitter Glue) in Icicle, Stardust or color of your choice. The recommendations for the Cat's Eye colors are as follows: lilac, wisteria, pink, lavender, sky blue, smoke blue, rose and other colors that will coordinate with the USArtquest palettes. The recommendations for the Alcohol Inks are as follows: lettuce, citrus, pool, salmon, Peach Bellini, Stonewash and Sunset Orange.
Friday, July 10 - Make It and Take it with Laura Kanno from 6:30 to 8:30. $5.00 per project.

Saturday, July 11 - No classes scheduled. The Original Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson, Calif.

Sunday, July 12 - The Journey with Kelly Kilmer from 12:30 to 4:30. Cost of the class is $70.00. In this class you will create a tall, narrow hardcover journal using a special stitch.After binding the book, you will fill the inside pages with paints and collage and learning new mixed media techniques. You will walk out of class with with a unique handmade book with layered and textured pages create entirely bu you. Supply List - Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back ruler, roll of waxed paper roll of paper towels, permanent black ink pad, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to glue and pants (i like chip or bristle brushes).

Wednesday, July 15 -
ATC Club with Jessica Hollowell From 6:30 to 8. Jessica will teach a technique for ATCs and then you will get to make two of your own. Suggested: Bring 6 to 10 Artist Trading Cards to trade.

Sunday, July 19 - Projects from Carson Convention with Lori Lai from 12:15 to 4:15. Class cost is $50.00. Lori will be showing you how to achieve the result from the demonstrations that draws everyone to Hanko's booth where Lori is the demonstrating during the Original Rubber Stamp Convention.

Saturday, July 25 - Three Gift Book with Wendy Poma from 10:30 to 2:30. Cost of the class is $40.00. These gift books would be a lovely gift for someone or something that you could use yourself.

Sunday, July 26 - Italy in a Paper Bag with Jessica Hollowell from 12:30 to 4:30. Cost of the class is $45.00. You'll transform paper bags into an excursion to the old country that you"ll never forget with paints, stamps, images and ephemera. Supply List - adhesives, scissors, rubber gloves (recommended), double sided tape and redline tape in various size.

MAGENTA LADIES ARE COMING

Some of the new color alcohol inks will be in the shop the week of the class if you have not already purchased them. Those will be the lights and brights such as citrus, pool, salmon, Peach Bellini and Sunset Orange. We have in stock at this time Lettuce and Stonewash.

THIS WEEK CLASSES


Wednesday, June 24 - Calligraphy Class with DeAnn Singh from 7 to 9. This is the last class until the fall. This is our potluck and we will look over some of the projects and practices of the different students.


Saturday, June 27 - Metal Embossed Book with Wendy Poma from 10:30 to 2:30. The cost of this class is $40.00. In this class you will learn how to emboss on metal and put a book together. This would make a lovely gift for someone or you can keep it for self and use it as a journal.







Sunday, June 28 - Hawaiian 3 or Hanko Samples Catalog 2009 Class with Lori Lai from 12:15 to 4:15. This cost of this class is $50.00 In this class you will making 4 to 5 cards and if you are quick you can make a bonus card. These are very unique cards and the paper is beautiful. Supply List - You might want to bring the following items for this class: xyron "x" or similiar xyron machine, paper piecer ( a must ), foam mounting tape, adhesive (whatever you like to use)- I like monoadhesive, scissors, bone folder and any other general supplies you normally bring to a workshop.

This is what is going on at Stampin' from the Heart this week.

Wednesday, June 17 - ATC Club with Jessica Hollowell From 6:30 to 8pm. The cost is $10.00. Jessica will teach a technique for ATC and then you will get to make 2 of your own. The technique that she will be using is watercolor pencil in an Asian theme. Suggested: bring 6 to 10 ATC of your to trade. (The only rule is that the size must be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. Thursday June 18 - Calligraphy which is the last class will not be meeting tonight. But they will meet on Wednesday June 24.

Saturday June 20 - There is not class scheduled today. Congratulation to Amy (Karen's daughter) and Cameron (Amy's Husband) as they recite their wedding vows this evening.

Sunday June 21- We want to wish to all the fathers living or not a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY. THE SHOP WILL BE CLOSED.

Learn how to use your journal document and record and also as a tool and as a reference guide. learn how fun, easy and relaxing it is to work in your journal daily. Supply List - scissors bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of wax paper, roll of paper towel, permanent black ink pad, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to glue and paint.

Friday, June 12 - Make it & Take it with Gayle Smith - 6:30 to 8:30. The project or card are $5.00 per card or project. Come on in and join us, you'll have fun.

Saturday June 13 - Jessica Hollowell Mini Matchbook Portrait, from 10:30 to 3. Class cost is $45.00. Jessica will offer a colorful 8 page double sided Mini Matchbook Portrait Album, by using collage image, stamps, decorative papers and ephemera that will make everyone who sees it say "WOW." You can use your own photos, but they need be no lager then 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 . Supply list: Please bring precision scissors, glue stick, double sided tape and red line tape and bring lunch.

Sunday, June 14 - Transcribed with Kelly Kilmer from 12:30 to 4: 30. Class cost $70.00. Itching to keep a journal? Stuck in a rut with the book you have been working on? Yearning to learn new tips, tricks and techniques fro keeping a journal? This is the class for you. In this five hour workshop, you'll create your very own unique journal from scratch. ALERT !!!! June 3rd to June 7th, 2009

This is what is going on this week at Stampin' From the Heart.

Calligraphy has been changes from Wednesday night (6/3) to Thursday night (6/4) from 6:30 to 9

Thursday June 4 - Kelly Kilmer, Swatches: Little Paper book has been Cancelled.

Friday June 5 - Stampin' cafe' night from 6 to ?. Come on in and we'll put the kettle on and bring your supplies and your projects and come on in and work with rest of us.

Saturday June 6 - Great teacher coming Saturday, all the way from San Diego, Mike Strong. he will be doing two classes. One is from 10:30 to 12:30 and the other one from 2 to 4. Mike will be working with acrylic paints (Making Memories, Ranger, etc.) and will be making cards and background. Each class is $25.oo.

Sunday June 7 - Carol Hoesly will be doing a fun class with the new products from Clearsnap. You will be doing 4 cards using the new product that was introduced at CHA (Craft and Hobby Association). There are some amazing techniques that Carol will be showing you. She will be using Design Adhesives, New Rollergraph wheel,New Glitter, the New Colors Inks from Clearsnap. Class starts at 12:30 to 4:30. Class is $40.00
