The cost is $15 and there will be enough materials and stamps for you to make up to 10 cards and take home with you. Merchandise can also be bought out of the trunks. It will take place from 12-4 PM.

lage? Have you been caught buying up rolls of tape and you’re not sure of everything that you can do with them? In a bit of a sticky situation? Looking for some new ideas of what you can do with one of the hottest art supplies around? Look no further! In this class we will explore a myriad of techniques, tips, tricks and ideas that you can do with decorative tape. Learn how to layer fun and colorful backgrounds using what some call stickers, but what most call tape! We will explore masking tape (not the old stuff, but the f un colorful stuff available in many different designs and colors), decorative tape, and more! Walk out of class with your head spinning with ideas, and a smile on your face.Optional-You can bring your journal to class to work in, or the teacher will be supplying paper for you to work on. Supply list: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes)

Each one of you are to bring a basic stamping kit: black permanent ink, your choice of glue, your choice of double sided adhesive, scissors, pen, bone folder, stamps of your choice, papers and ephemera you want to share with the group. You will then stamp and assemble your card(s) right then and there and share with the group. This month's theme is Travel. Bring extra paper to stamp other peoples stamps to take home. You might like someone else's stamps and would like to stamp extra images to do things at home.

Upon completion of the workshop you will receive a stand to display your calendar girls! You want representing each month. you will fill in the grids with dates once you determine this at your leisure. Supply List: sharp scissors & glue stick.

NOTES REGARDING THIS WEEK'S AGENDA

First, I would like to thank all the Shop Hoppers who have come by our shop. It has been great seeing you all. Looking forward to the rest of the Shop Hop.

Susan, from SRM Press came by Sunday and did some demos with the SRM Press stickers. Very impressive, come by and look at some of the samples. You can concentrate on your art work then add a sentiment sticker. There are some really great ideas.

Friday night is our MITI with Gayle Smith. She always has such wonderful ideas.

The picture of the Deco Clay class is posted on our blog. There are only two openings left and I have to let Kathryn know by tomorrow night at closing how many students she will have Saturday. So if you are interested sign up by Wednesday at 8PM. The class is limited to 6.

Sunday, we will have another Glitter Ritz by Elizabeth Craft demo with Donna Heckenlaible. She posted an ornament card she did with Glitter Ritz on facebook--it was fabulous. You won't want to miss this demo.
Come on by, look at the techniques and ask any questions regarding the products that Elizabeth Craft sells.

Sunday, Aug. 15 - Glitter Ritz Demo with Donna Heckenlaible from 1 to 3. She will be doing a demo from a company called Elizabeth Craft who has amazing ultra fine glitter that almost feels like suede when applied and Peel Off Stickers.








Wednesday, Aug. 18 - Magenta's Bird Stencils with Gay Smith From 6:30 to 8:30. These lovely cards are made using Magenta's Bird Stencils, ColorBox ink, and Magenta's papers. They are a whole lot of fun and very addictive to make. Once you start, it's hard to stop. You keep seeing ideas you want to try, combining inks and papers.
Class starts at 6:30 but if you're coming in from work or trying to get across town, and can't get there until about 7pm or so, still come. Call the store at 310.301.0466 to sign up. Please don't wait until last minute to sign up. I need plenty of time to cut papers and prep for class. Love to see you all there.

CANCELLING MIKE STRONG'S AUGUST 7 CLASS

I just got an email from Mike Strong stating that he was going to have to cancel the August 7 class. He and Carla will be with his Dad while Mike's Mom undergoes surgery for a tumor on her lung.

Mike we will all be praying for you and your family, especially your Mom, and let us all know how everything comes out.
