This is the sample Make It & Take It card that Rebekka will be doing after 3pm tomorrow (Saturday, June 30) for a charge of $5.  You will also get to keep the stencil.  This is a small preview of the type of cards she will be doing on Sunday (July 1).

Saturday, June 30 - The Store 11th Birthday Celebration from 10 - 5:30. Well believe it or not it is that time of year once again!  It is our 11th Anniversary of being in business. So come join us on Saturday; there will be food (hot dogs, chips, sodas and other stuff); there will be make it take its (they will be on the table and will be pretty self-explanatory) so you can do them yourselves; there will be prizes and last but not least there will be a sale--25% off + 11% for our 11th year in business.  Come on by, we will be starting at 10AM and shutting down around 5:30.  Come say howdy and if you bring us a handmade card that we can use for demo purposes you will receive another 10% off.  Come on by and say hi--looking forward to seeing all of you both old and new.

Friday, July 6 - Building Up the Layers with Kelly Kilmer from 11:30 - 3:30. Cost is $70. Learn a whole new way to approach a blank page! In this workshop, you will combine paper ephemera, tape, rubber stamps, watercolor crayons and a whole lot more to create lusciously layered backgrounds that can be used in ANY art form. As you work, you will gain new insight into the principles of collage such as composition, design, color, pattern and much, much more. You will walk out having created several layered backgrounds as well as the confidence to create even more on your own! Supply list: journal (or the instructor will have paper for you to work on), scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue (I like chip or bristle brushes), a few of your favorite glue sticks.

Friday, July 6 - Card Making Night from 6:30 - 8:30. Come on in and we will have a fun time making a card. 

Saturday, July 7 -  Sizzix Big Shot Class with Gayle Smith from 10:30 - 2:30. Cost is $50.00. You will be going home with 4 beautiful cards. Bring your big kick, big shot cuddlebug machine and your standard stamping kit. If you don't have one of the machine that is ok.

Sunday, July 8th - Listen to Your Heart with Kelly Kilmer from 12:30 - 4:30. Cost is $70. You will start by deconstructing an old hardcover book and creating an embellished, textured, luscious and visually stimulating artist’s book. Using a combination of vintage and new, you will create fresh, one of a kind, completely you artist’s journal pages while learning new techniques and ideas. Working large and somewhat fast (though not too fast that you won’t be able to keep up!), we’ll cover a lot of ground in this four hour workshop. Supply list: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue (I like chip or bristle brushes), a few of your favorite glue sticks.

Saturday, June 23 - Summer Fun with Wendy Poma from 10:30 - 2. Cost is $40.00. Wendy is always such fun to take a class from and her books are beautiful and such fun to journal, sketch or give as a gift to someone. All materials are provided by Wendy.

Sunday, June 24 - A Compendium of Visual Delights part 1with Kelly Kilmer from 12 - 5. Cost for both Classes is $225.00. In this special 2 day workshop, you will create your own uniquely made hand bound journal. Once the journal has been made, we will dive into the pages working together to explore a variety of mixed media techniques. You will work hands on with collage (learning composition and design skills as you combine a variety of collage ephemera (including papers, transparencies, tape, focal images and more). You will then learn to combine collage and mixed media as you create luscious pages using acrylics, gouache, watercolors, watercolor crayons, rubber stamps, stencils, a variety of pens and much, much more. You will walk out of class with a fully bound journal, several pages completed and your head full of new ideas and the desire to keep working in your journal! Supply list: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, full roll of waxed paper, full roll of paper towels or a few old rags (to wipe paint, etc... I have a clean one and a paint one), permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes), a few of your favorite glue sticks, IF you have a waterbrush pen (of any size or shape) please bring it, if you have paint brushes in a variety of sizes (from small tip to 1", please bring a couple of those. I will have a few extra paint brushes on hand as well.)
