Many vendors will be demonstrating various stamping techniques so that you can learn to crate your own greeting cards & stationary, memory book ideas, embossing techniques, movable parts card, etc.

ATC Contest - Enter our ATC (Artist Trading Card) Contest on Saturday, November 14th to win some mad money that you can use to buy stamps goodies from any of your favorite vendors at the stow. All entries have to be hand deliverer to the RSC info room at the show by 11 am. All winners will be announced at 2 pm and need to be present to win. Check ATC poster or website for more info.
Don't forget to bring your ATCs to trade with other stampers at 2 pm!

WHAT'S GOING ON?
Ok, let's start with change of hours for shop. Starting Tuesday, our shop hours will change. Our hours Tuesday through Friday will be 11AM to 8PM. Saturday (10-5:30), Sunday (12-5) and Monday (closed) will remain the same.

Mike Strong will be back on Sunday, November 8 at ****10:30AM**** until 4:00. He will be doing his Christmas Tree Stamp cards in the morning and a Crazy Quilt card (with leftovers, of course) in the afternoon. We are opening early this Sunday.

RECIPE FOR STRAWBERRY GREEN SALAD
For those of you who were at Extravaganza and asked for the recipes, here is the first one for the Strawberry Green Salad. Thank you for coming to Extravaganz, we are looking forward to our first Extravaganza next year on April 17 and we hope you all enjoyed it enough to come back.
1-2 heads of lettuce (romaine and red)
12 oz. slivered almonds, toasted (spread on a cookie sheet and cook 5 min. @ 375o)
2 pints of strawberries
Wash lettuce and strawberries. Tear lettuce, slice strawberries. Toast almonds and cool them. Mix all salad ingredients together. Mix dressing ingredients together and pour over salad just before serving.
Dressing: If making a large salad you can double this recipe
1 cup of mayonnaise
2 TBSP honey ginger vinegar (any kind, I used pear)
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar (I used Splenda)
1 tsp. Poppy seeds
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

LATEST NEWS FROM SFTH
Extravaganza in just 4 more days, we still have a few (7) openings. Give us a call. We're all going to have a good time. There will be drawings and gifts. Plus all the fun projects from our very favorite 5 teachers.
Also, even though Extravaganza is on Saturday, we are still having Make-It-Take-It on Friday with Jessica Hollowell. Don't forget to come out and support the teachers that willingly give their time for these MITI's. Starts around 6:30 and goes usually until 8:30 or so. $5 per project.
This news just in from Mike Strong: Mike's first class on October 17 is going to be a card-making class using his new Cloisonne Cameos and Twinkling H20s. His second session is Ikebana inspired cards. First class from 10:30-12:30 and the second is 2-4.

October 5 to October 11/ Classes for this week
Wednesday, October 7 - Calligraphy Class #3 with DeAnn Singh from 7 to 9. You cab learn Copperplate, Italics or some other wonderful form of Calligraphy. At some point , DeAnn has promised to show us Illuminated Letters.
Thursday, October 8 - Canvas Pocket Book with Kelly Kilmer from 6:30 to 8:30. The cost is $55.00. In two hours, you will paint, scrub, lather, and layer acrylics learning several new techniques as you go. You will assemble a small square journal from scratch with a wrap around canvas cover. Kelly loves the size and the feel of this book. The size is user friendly, not overwhelming and inviting for anyone to use! There's lots of painting in this class so make sure you wear your apron and come prepared to have fun and get messy! Supply list - scissors, bone folder cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black ink pad, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to paint with (Kelly like chip or bristle brushes).
