Where they are teaching

Lori Lai has been teaching at Scrampers (310) 3205476) and has classes scheduled for Nov.23, November 30, and Dec. 8. This weekend class features fun embossing folders and Christmas cards, all in Lori's signature style. I hope to see some of you there!

Mike Strong will be teaching at Scrampers in Torrance beginning January 18. Please call the store (310) 320 5476 to reserve your spot. I'll be doing two workshops, one AM and one PM with a lunch break in between. Each class will be different and we'll be making five cards in each. Happy Holidays - Hope to see you in January!

I am sure most of you know that Stampin' from the Heart closed its doors on October 15, 2013.  This coming Sunday from 10AM until 5pm, we will be at the shop ready to sell our merchandising products.  We have 12x12 wire paper racks for $30, 8-1/2x11 wire paper racks for $25; 2-8-9 foot merchandising display shelves for $60 each; 3 metal shelving units; 3 slatwall pinwheel spinners, $60 (maple); 1 H unit maple slatwall, $100; 7 magazine racks, $35 each; one glass display cabinet, old $50 and various pegs, pressboard shelves, and acrylic shelves; slatwall acrylic paper trays, $1.00 each.

THE SHOP WALLS ARE BARE

The shop walls are bare and the shop has a hollow sound to it but all the racks are there and waiting for those that wanted them.  Some racks have names and will be waiting for their new owners and other racks are just waiting to be taken home.  I will be at the shop Sunday afternoon from 1PM on, please come on by and take a look.  I will be posting on Craigslist on Tuesday for the big merchandiser shelves and what racks are left after Sunday.

Sadly, Stampin' From The Heart closed it's doors for the last time on Tuesday evening, October 15, 2013. In order to keep the wonderful community going, Stampin' from the Heart alumni was created on facebook. So if you have a facebook account. join in.

Now folks will be able to keep in touch, find out where former instructors are teaching now, and plan to meet up at the convention in Carson.

Have to comment on the raffles. Since it was a going out of business sale we couldn't do a give away like our Extravaganza's--this had to be something extra special so we had everyone put their names in a basket, then when names were picked they had a big basket and 1-1/2 minutes to run through the store and put what they could in their baskets and then take it home. (That way I know that all that merchandise will have a good home.) Congratulations goes to Cledith, Judy, Laura, Ellie, Joyce and Angie.(Thank you so much for playing your harp for us Angie, it was beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us). Just imagine over $5000 worth of merchandise to 6 lovely winners. Learn about color, composition, design and more while focusing on visual self expression on the pages of your new journal. Come and see what fun things Laura has in store for us this evening--she always has fun projects. Age group 99 and under. The objective is to introduce stamping and craft to a younger generation. Saturday, August 17 - Book with Band Closure with Wendy Poma from 10:30 - 1:30. Cost is $40.00. Wendy is always such fun to take a class from and her books are beautiful and such fun to journal, sketch or give as a gift to someone. All materials are provided by Wendy.

Sunday, August 18- An Artist's Manifesto - Kelly Kilmer from 12:30 - 4:30. Cost is $70.00. We're thinking BIG in this class! Start by constructing a large journal from scratch using a recycled hardcover book. Then we'll spend the rest of the class creating our own unique, personal pages. Learn about color, composition, design and more while focusing on visual self expression on the pages of your new journal.
