March Classes

Saturday, March 2 - Extravaganza from 8:30 to 5:00. Cost is $95.00. Breakfast is at 8:45 and the first set of classes starts at 9:15, lunch will be from 12:30 to 1:30, next set of classes starts at 1:45. Our teachers for this Extravaganza are Richard Bouchereau, Linda Forest, Lori Lai and Gayle Smith. We all have a great time learning new techniques, breaking bread with one another, getting our goody bags, winning prizes and enjoying ourselves. There are some fun new projects in the making. Come and have fun with us. So call and make your reservation.

Sunday, March 3 - Fun with Glossy Paper - Lori Lai from 12:15 - 4:15.  Cost is $50.00. Lori will be deals with Stampendous Stamps (Jumbo Size/regular size), Glossy White Paper, Alcohol Inks, Lots of Stazon Black Ink, Embossing folders, Shimmer Sheet and more. The cards come out so beautiful! I just love the look of Alcohol Inks on Glossy Paper and you will too! The best part of "handmade" Papers made with Alcohol Inks is you seldom can make a mistake. You will want to run home and play with your Alcohol Inks that you probably own or purchase some directly after class. Alcohol inked images always come out different and so easy to use. I will have several Black and White Cards that are simple to do as well. Black and White is so dramatic and stunning! (Wow, simple from Lori that's unheard of) I will have cards using Stampendous Jumbo Stamps. (Hawaiian Orchid & Plumeria, Hibiscus, Daisy) Please see attachments for a few of my samples. Supply List: Stazon Black, your favorite makers, tweezers, regular tape, personal paper trimmer, small "x"- xyron sticker maker (if you own one), paper piercer, foam mounting tape, 1/4" double sided tape, bone folder, pencil/eraser, scissors, adhesive tape runner (such as Mono adhesive) or any other Basic Stamping Kit. If you have an apron handy bring that too.

Friday, March 8 - A Beautiful Necessity with Kelly Kilmer from 11:30 - 3:30. Cost is $70.00. Combine rich, lush layers of color, text and imagery to create this truly unique vision of your own heart. The covers give the illusion of layers of painted acrylics but we will not be using acrylic paints in this class. The inside pages will be filled with a visual delight of texture, color, pattern and more. This small but sturdy journal is perfect for daily, on the go use. Think of the possibilities that you can pour into this journal at a moment’s notice. Supply list: Waterbrush pen (like Niji brand my favorite is the large flat head one) scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue and paint with(I like chip or bristle brushes), or a few of your favorite glue sticks

Friday, March 15 - New Generation with Laura Cesareo from 6:30 - 8:30. Cost is $10.00. Come and see what fun things Laura has in store for us this evening--she always has fun projects. Age group 35 and under. The objective is to introduce stamping and craft to a younger generation. All ages are Welcome.

Saturday, March 23 -  Book making with Wendy Poma from 10:30 - 1. Cost is $40.00. Wendy is always such fun to take a class from and her books are beautiful and such fun to journal, sketch or give as a gift to someone. All materials are provided by Wendy.

Sunday, March 24 - Connection with Kelly Kilmer from 12:30 - 4:30. Cost is $70.00. With each new book we create, we open ourselves up to a new possibility. We’ll be creating our own wrapped cover journal while exploring the theme of connections (this will be open to your own interpretation.) How do we take our favorite tools and use them to connect our pages together, creating a unified connection that runs throughout the pages of our journals? In this class we will be open to ideas from each other as we work and share our own unique visions of art exploration in the form of multi-layered collage work. Supply list: scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue (I like chip or bristle brushes) or a few of your favorite glue sticks
