The Original Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson, CA.

The show shuts down at 4:00pm, let's try to meet outside in the garden area to say a quick hello to each other and do some catching up.

If any of you can and want to maybe we can get together for dinner after convention.  There are some nice restaurants near IKEA which isn't too far away.

Give me a shout if you're going to be there and if you think you can make dinner.

RIP JUDY NACE

You will be missed!!!

This post is for all my friends at Stampin' from the Heart--it is with a heavy heart that I need to let you know one of our own--Judy Nace has passed away. She had COPD and caught a cold, by the time she was found the paramedics could do nothing. The following is a message I received from her friend another Stampin' from the Heart friend Alan He texted me the following: "On Saturday 1/9 one of Judy’s friends, Susan called her and asked her how she was doing. Others called because we knew that when she caught a cold it would always go to her lungs. The worst thing for someone with COPD. Judy answered but probably couldn’t get her breath since Susan heard a very long pause with just the TV making sounds. Finally she heard some faint response and asked Judy if she was okay. She said no. Susan said she would be right over but from where she lived it was about 45 minutes to an hour away, maybe more in L.A. traffic. When she got there Judy couldn’t answer the door. Susan called 911 and they came and broke down the door. She was taken to the hospital and after a while the doctor asked Susan if she had any final wishes. It was 7:29 p.m. on Jan. 9. Her COPD was being managed quite well before all this. The cause of death was heart failure." RIP Judy, you will be missed

Dear Stampin' from the Heart Family and Friends

As we all start this New Year, I would like to wish each of you and your family members a very happy, healthy and prosperous year.  Here's wishing you love in your lives, miracles that are seen and wonderful memories with families during the year.  Something you might want to do during the year--get a gallon jar and keep post-it notes next to it; at the end of the day put a note in it about what good happened that day, then at the end of the year go back and read what you have written--you will see many smiles, hugs and miracles.

This was a sad year in the fact that we lost one of our own.  Nina Montoya (my assistant and co-hort) from the start of Stampin' from the Heart was taken from us.  She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in July 2014 and she fought, laughed and did all she could do to battle this disease.  She did things that she never tried before, she went on trips to see family, she did Disneyland with her daughter.  She will be very sadly missed.  Thank all of you who made her last days happy by visiting and crafting with her.

Now news coming from a different front; two of our own, Judy Urvan and Susan London will be leaving our area to sojourn with their respective families.  The following is an invitation from Ellie to come say good-bye to our girls before they leave for good--we hope to see many of you come.

RIP--You Will Be Missed Carolee

To all my friends from Stampin' from the Heart many of you will remember Carolee Synder from shopping, classes and our Friday nights--I just found out that she has passed away. She passed away on August 15 and services will be held at All Saints Church at 504 Camden Drive, Beverly Hills, CA on Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00AM. Graveside services will be at 3:00 at Forest Lawn, Glendale. You will be missed Carolee.

REUNION OF FRIENDS OF STAMPIN' FROM THE HEART--AUGUST 1, 2015, SCRAMPERS IN TORRANCE, FEATURING THE CLASSES OF MIKE STRONG

Hi Everybody, Mike Strong has set up a reunion class for Saturday, August 1 at Scrampers in Torrance. He will teach a 3-card class then we will break for potluck and then at 2:00 do a 5-card class. He would really like to see all of our Stampin' from the Heart Friends. Contact me if you can make it and if you want to do the potluck and what you want to bring. Today, is Friday, January 2, 2015 and I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year. I miss seeing each and everyone of you on a regular basis and love the times when we do get together. I want to wish you and your family a most wonderful 2015. I wish each of you gentle times, laughter and joy with those you hold dear, fun and happy crazy stuff to go on in your lives, wonderful new people to be added to your lives and more time with our "old" friends and the most abundant blessings that God can bestow on you and your family. Miss and love you all.

I am a week behind--thought Carson Convention was next weekend not this--oh well, how many of my Stampin' from the Heart friends are planning to be there and how many of you would like to meet in the afternoon or cancel the afternoon and get together for dinner. Any suggestions for places to go for dinner that would accommodate the majority? Please answer quick it is only two more days until convention.
Also, do you want to bring share cards or atc's or not. Let's post this quick. Please post on each of your fb page so as many people can see this as possible.

RIP LOVEY, YOU WILL BE MISSED SWEET GIRL

It is with sadness and tears in my eyes that I have to let our group know that Lovell Sevella died August 10, early morning  from complications of Leukemia. She was diagnosed in December 2012 and has waged a brave battle. Any picture you saw of her she had her own sweet special smile on her face. Sending love to all her family and friends. RIP Lovey we are going to miss your friendly chatter and sweet smile and creative ways. Love you!

COME ONE COME ALL IT IS STAMP CONVENTION TIME

It is that time of the year (no not Christmas yet--but only 175 days away)

drum rollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll--IT IS CONVENTION TIME.  The Original Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson, CA will take place July 12-13.

Helene from Magenta will be there--looking forward to seeing her.  Check out the info at www.astampinthehand.com.  There will be classes and over 20 vendors at the show--some old and a few new.  Tim Holtz will be there in the Stampers Anonymous booth, so check it out online.

Now for my friends from Stampin' from the Heart time to make a couple of cards or ATCs (your choice) and let's get together in the patio at 2PM and exchange the cards and say hi to everyone.  Also, if any of you can and want to meet for dinner after Saturday's convention, please leave a note here or on the blog or email me at stampinheart@hotmail.com and let me know if you are available and more importantly if you have a restaurant somewhere close to convention or close by where we can all meet and break bread together please let me know.  There were only nine of us getting together in March but we had the best time catching up on all the latest news and projects.  Waiting to hear from you.

SPRING 2014 UPDATE

Hi Everybody

Just a note to say "hi" and let you know I miss all of you.  Things have been a little busy in my life.  Our kids decided to drag us into the 21st century kicking and screaming--with a new ipad for Christmas which meant we had to take a class--"iphone, ipad, i'm lost" which was a good basic class.

Then for the last two weeks I have taken a class "How to sell on eBay".  So I now have 12 listings on ebay and plan to put more and more each week, so check us out there.  We are listed as "stampersheart".

I am really happy to say that all of our teachers have been able to find other places to teach, so please check their schedules.  Rebekka Behunin (and her daughter Hailey) who teach Dreamweaver Stencil Classes and has a cruise coming up in October; Lori Lai, who demonstrates and teaches for Hanko Stamps and Papers; and Mike Strong who does Mike Strong Stamps and all his famous make something out of nothing techniques are teaching at Scrampers in Gardena.  Call them and get on their email so you can find out where and when these wonderful teachers are teaching.

Nina has found her niche in an Insurance Company and is doing well.  Charmaine is enjoying her retirement and keeping busy with yoga and walking and five cats.  

I am keeping busy with grandkids and family obligations as well as trying to organize a craft room and put stamps on ebay.  Most of the stamps were in the shop before we closed, but I am still able to get stamps from a distributor that I used and so will be posting new stamps, ribbons, die cuts and inks in the near future.  
I would love to hear from any and all of you and know what is going on in your lives.  I am sending love and special blessings to all of you.

Hello Everybody

The Original Rubber Stamp Convention will be here on Saturday.  I have missed all of you very much during the last 6 months and would love to say hi.  We are going to meet around 2PM on Saturday around the food area on the patio.  We will see how many of us can get together for dinner Saturday and will decide when and where.

If you can't do dinner try to get to the meeting place so we can all say "hi" to one another.

Well it is almost that time--Carson Convention next Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9. We talked earlier in the year about getting together and going out for a bite after convention shuts down. My thinking is Saturday night after its over. Give a post if you are going to convention and are up for getting together. What is good for everyone and where shall we go. Pass this on to any former Stampin' from the Heart person who may not have signed up or gotten signed up on the blog. Waiting to hear from you all (missing you lots) and I'll post what I have received on Wednesday night. You can probably all see it here on fb yourselves--but I will be in touch on Wednesday night. Have a good weekend--sending love to all of you.

Just a couple of things. Carson Rubber Stamp Convention is coming March 8 and 9 and we are going to try and get a group together and go out after one of the days. Will keep you posted--email or fb me if you think you can join us and what day would be better for you (missing you all).
Secondly, it is that time again, my granddaughter is selling Girl Scout cookies. Hit me up if you would like some, what and how many your want, and we can make arrangements for delivery. We have Thin Mint, Cranberry Citrus Crisps, Peanut Patties (Chocolate covered peanut butter cookies), Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies, Thanks A Lot (shortbread type with chocolate back), Lemonade (Iced Lemon cookies), Shortbread and Caramel Delite (Caramel, coconut and chocolate).

I am wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. I miss you all and want to see you all again. You were all such a wonderful customers who became friends. I wish each of you a wonderful 2014 filled with love, gratitude, cheer, happiness, health, prosperity and for all of you I wish a little silliness and giggles throughtout 2014. Love to you all--you're so S-P-E-C-I-A-L.

Happy Chanukkah

Where they are teaching

Lori Lai has been teaching at Scrampers (310) 3205476) and has classes scheduled for Nov.23, November 30, and Dec. 8. This weekend class features fun embossing folders and Christmas cards, all in Lori's signature style. I hope to see some of you there!

Mike Strong will be teaching at Scrampers in Torrance beginning January 18. Please call the store (310) 320 5476 to reserve your spot. I'll be doing two workshops, one AM and one PM with a lunch break in between. Each class will be different and we'll be making five cards in each. Happy Holidays - Hope to see you in January!

For those of you who were in the "Art from the Heart" group, or others who would like to join us, we are continuing the 2nd Thursday of every month at Blick Art Materials, 11531 Santa Monica Blvd, W. L.A. Our next meeting is Thursday, Dec 12th, 6-8 pm. Please bring ATCs to swap; the theme is Christmas. Welcome!
